Ezra Johnson was recently appointed to the VIA Board of Trustees. VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority is governed by a 11-member board of trustees. Board members are appointed by San Antonio City Council (appoints five), Bexar County Commissioners Court (appoints three), and the Suburban Mayors (appoints two). The Chair of the Board is elected by the Board members. The VIA Board of Trustees meets monthly to discuss and decide policy issues and hear comments from the community within its 1200-square-mile service area. Associates Ezra Johnson and Robert Park co-authored “Just Because You Are Nonparticipating, Doesn’t Mean You Can’t Have Fun”, a paper on nonparticipating royalty interests, non-executive interests and the duty of the executive right holder.
