Robert Park and F. Parks Brown have been recognized in the Rising Stars 2021 issue of Texas Super Lawyers Magazine as 2021 Texas Rising Stars in Energy and Natural Resources Law.  This is Parks Brown’s fourth year to be recognized as a Rising Star.  This is Robert Park’s eighth consecutive year as a Rising Star. Nominated by other attorneys, this honor is reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in their practice specialty.
Parks Brown published an article with the Section Report for the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the Texas State Bar on the topic of “Solar Leasing from the Landowner’s Perspective.”  The Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas publishes a quarterly Section Report for all Section members. Copies of Section Reports are available to Section members in the "Library" section of this website. 
UFJBWR partner Trace Burton was elected Treasurer of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources (“OGERL”) section of the State Bar of Texas for OGERL’s 2020-2021 term.  Mr. Burton was elected during OGERL’s Annual Meeting on June, 26, 2020, at the Briar Club in Houston, Texas.  OGERL was established in 1938 as the "Natural Resources Section" and is the oldest section of the State Bar of Texas. On Friday, February 28, 2020, Anson Howard spoke to the Texas Bankers Association Real Estate, Oil & Gas Conference on the topic of “Negotiating Easement Agreements”.  The audience consisted of mineral managers, farm and ranch managers, and trust officers from banks all over Texas.  The presentation focused on the best negotiation strategies to ensure that landowners receive the strongest easement terms and maximum compensation. F. Parks Brown and Ryan M. Lammert passed the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) exam and are now Board Certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law. They join the other seven Board Certified attorneys and one Board Certified paralegal at Uhl Fitzsimons and we are very proud of their great achievement. The TBLS was established in 1974 by the Supreme Court of Texas.
